Roasting of seeds
1. In a frying pan add 1/2 tsp ghee, add 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds, 1 tbsp watermelon seeds, and 1 tbsp sesame seeds. lightly roast them for a minutes and then switch off the flame. Keep aside.
How to cook samak rice kheer
2. In a heavy bottom saucepan, add 300 ml milk, start boiling. Once it starts boiling, add washed barnyard seeds or sama rice in it and mix well.
3. Now cover the pan and cook it for 2-3 minutes. After 3 minutes, stir it once and then add soaked black currants, sugar, cardamom powder, and almond meal in it. Give a mix and cook it for another 2-3 minutes.
4. After that check the kheer again, take little Samak rice in between your fingers if you feel them soft and well-cooked switch off the flame and leave it covered for 5 minutes. Lastly, add kewra water and mix it well and serve in the bowl. Garnish with roasted seeds and serve.
