Here in the making of healthy brownie with applesauce firstly, in a bowl, we sieve all the dry ingredients barley flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Then in another bowl, add all the wet ingredients oil, applesauce, and water. Finally, mix dry ingredients into wet in 2-3 batches and mix well, pour in the baking tray, and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. Let them cool completely before serving.

Step by step process of making eggless brownie with applesauce

1. Preheat oven at 180 degrees for at least 10-15 minutes. Take a bowl, sieve barley flour, sugar, dark and light cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in it. Mix them well to make a lump free mixture and keep aside.

2. Now take another bowl, add oil, applesauce, and water. Mix gently till all the ingredients combine well.

3.Then add dry ingredients mixture into wet ingredients in batches and mix using cut and fold method.

4. At last, add vinegar and milk. Mix gently till it becomes a smooth and thick batter. Now transfer the batter into a 13 X 9-inch greased baking pan and spread evenly with the help of a spatula. Tap the pan few times to remove the air bubbles.

5. Finally, sprinkle white choco chips and place the baking pan in the preheated oven to bake it for 25-30 minutes. Bake it till the toothpick inserted in the brownie comes out clean.

   6. Let the brownie cool down completely in the baking pan cover with a kitchen towel. Then cut into desired shapes and enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee.

  • 160 gm Barley Flour
  • 130 gm Powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp Unsweetened natural cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp Unsweetened Dark cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp Baking powder
  • ¼ tsp Baking soda
  • ¼ tsp Salt

Wet ingredients

  • 100 ml Unsweetened Homemade applesauce
  • 80 ml oil (sunflower oil)
  • 130 ml Water
  • 2 tbsp Milk or as required
  • 2 tsp Vinegar

For decoration

  • ¼ cup White chocochips (optional)
