Grilled hung curd vegetable sandwich is a quick breakfast recipe that is healthy as well as delicious.Simple and easy this quick mix veg sandwich recipe is perfect for weight loss too.Enjoy it with green chutney as a light meal or a snack.
Take a bowl, line it with a muslin or cheesecloth. Transfer 1 cup fresh curd to it, tie its ends together, and hang it for about 2-3 hours.
After that, transfer the thick curd to a bowl and refrigerate it till required.
How to prepare filling for sandwich
Now in a mixing bowl, add hung curd, grated carrot, chopped green capsicum, chopped onion, salt, roasted cumin seeds powder, red chili powder, black pepper powder, chat masala, and garam masala. Mix them well.
How to stuff filling in sandwich
Take a whole wheat bread slice, apply a thin layer of butter, and then green chutney. Repeat with all the bread slices.
After that, transfer 2 tbsp of filling on a slice and spread evenly, cover with the second slice and press it a little so that they will nicely stick together. Do the same with the rest of the bread slices.
How to make a sandwich on an iron griddle(Tawa)
Put an iron griddle on low to medium heat, lightly grease with butter, and place a sandwich on it. Wait for 40-45 seconds and then flip to another side. Toast the other side for about 40 seconds.
Transfer the sandwich to a place, cut into the desired shape and serve with your favorite dip or chutney.
How to make a sandwich with the gas toaster
Lightly grease the toaster with butter, place a sandwich and close it. Place this toaster on the direct heat on a low setting and toast it for 30-40 seconds and flip to the other side and wait for 30-40 seconds.
Transfer the toasted sandwich to a plate and then cut into triangles and serve warm with your favorite dip or chutney.

1. Make hung curd at home with fresh curd or use greek yogurt for these sandwiches.2. Hung curd can be prepared in advance. Veggies and spices are added just before the preparation because after these it starts leaving water and make the sandwich soggy.3. I have added carrot, onion, and capsicum but other vegetables like cabbage, corn, or lettuce can be added. Use only raw vegetables for the filling but if adding sweet corn, then steam them first.4. I have made this in Indian style but, to make it an international style add oregano and mixed herbs instead of spices.5. If you want a crispier sandwich, do grill or toast them.
