Paneer Do Pyaza Ingredients
Paneer or cottage cheese– it is the star ingredient of the recipe. I always prefer to use homemade low fat paneer. I have shared recipe of how to make low fat paneer at home with toned milk. You can also check how to make paneer do pyaja in hindi at my You tube channel. But if it not possible for to make it at home can purchase from the market too. For vegan version you can replace paneer with tofu but yes taste is slightly changed.
Onion- I have cut onion into long thick slices. These don’t need to cook for longer. Once they get a nice pink colour proceed to next step.
Tomato– Just used only 1 tomato puree here because we don’t want its taste on tangy side. If you want you can also skip tomato at all.
Spices – just the basic spices are used- salt, turmeric, coriander powder, red chilli powder, and a little bit of garam masala to enhance the flavour.
To give this dry paneer curry a rich taste, you can also add a 1 tbsp of malai when adding paneer to the gravy. This enhances its taste and adds a buttery flavour to it. But its totally optional.
