What is a Sandwich?

Sandwich is an food item consisting of two pieces of bread with a filling between them, eaten as a light meal. To make sandwich any type of bread can be used like whole wheat, white, multigrain, or brown bread as per your choice. But we should avoid use of white bread as it is made of refined flour and not good for gut.

Sandwiches are mostly savoury in taste but definitely we can make sweet sandwiches also.

Sprout Sandwich Ingredients

Whole wheat bread– whole grains are hogh in fibre and nutrients. you can also use multigrain or millet bread instead of whole wheat.

Sprouts– homemade moong dal sprouts are used. We don’t need to steam or cook them for making sandwich. But wash them nicely and strain extra water before starting the process.

Cheese– I have used Amul brand cheese slice to give a creamy taste and texture to these sandwiches. you can mix grated cheese to the sproutes instead of cheese slice. Also, you are free to add cheese of your favourite brand.

Spices– salt, black pepper powder, chaat masala, roasted cumin seeds powder is added to give a chatpata taste. You can add other spices or skip as per yor taste.
