Sandwich Dhokla Ingredients
For making Suji Dhokla
Suji or Semolina– is the star ingredient for making this dhokla. Use coarse suji for this which gives the best result.
Curd– sour curd gives the soft and spongy dhokla. Do not use very thin curd for this recipe.
Eno fruit salt– makes dhokla soft and spongy. It gives the best taste, you can also try it with baking soda but I like it with eno.
Spices– salt, heeng and ginger-green chilli paste enhance the flavour of this suji dhokla.
For Stuffing
Potato– boil the potato and grate or mash them. It provides a binding to the filling
Paneer– Increases the protein content as well as the taste of the stuffing
Onion– gives crispiness to the stuffing but if want you can skip it.
Spices– addition of salt, red chilli, coriander powder, and cumin seeds powder increase the flavour and taste.
Lemon juice – gives a tangy flavour to the filling.
Green coriander leaves– add a nice aroma to the filling and enhances its flavour.
