Avocados are very high in omega 3 fatty acids which helps in reducing cholesterol and improve heart health.

Avocado salad is my favourite salad in summers when these are in abundance and has the best flavour. I can eat this salad daily. Herbs and spices added to this salad add an aromatic flavour to this avocado salad. 

Preparation of this super delicious salad is very easy. No cooking or sauteing, just cutting and mixing all the ingredients and it’s ready to serve. Lemon juice and green coriander leaves provide a next-level freshness and aroma.

Asian Avocado Salad Recipe Ingredients

Avocado– Choose well ripe avocado with a creamy texture and nutty taste. 

Onion– Red onion that adds a sharpness to the taste is used. You can also replace it with light yellow coloured onion if you don’t its taste.

Tomato– bright red coloured tomato is used to add colour to the salad. Small-sized cherry tomatoes can also be used.

Green coriander leaves– addition of coriander leaves make the salad aromatic. Other fresh herbs like mint leaves, cilantro or basil can be used according to your taste buds.

Jalapeno– adds spiciness o the salad. They are mildly spiced, you can also skip it if don’t want the salad spicy, replace it with black pepper powder.

Lemon juice– Adds a tangy flavour to the salad and improves the taste.

Spices– black salt, rock salt and roasted cumin seeds powder are added to enhance the flavour of the salad. you are free to add any other spice of your choice.

How to Make Avocado Salad at Home-Step by Step Preparation

1.Cut avocado from center, remove seed and scoop it out. Cut it into small pieces. Transfer to a bowl.

2. Now chop tomato and onion and transfer to the same bowl.

3. Cut jalapeno into small pieces and transfer to the same bowl.

4.Now sprinkle black salt or sendha namak, roasted cumin seeds powder and chaat masala in the bowl. Squeeze one lemon juice and add some chopped green coriander leaves. Mix them once.

5. Now Transfer it into a serving bowl and garnish with some chopped coriander leaves and serve immediately.

  • 1 meidum sized tomato
  • 1 medium sized onion
  • 2 jalapeno
  • 1 lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp green chopped coriander
  • ¼ tsp black salt
