Bhel puri chaat is an easy-to-make famous Mumbai-style street food. You can find it over the roadsides stalls in the every other streets of India. This chaat recipe is very delicious and addictive. Without a doubt, it is equally loved by all age groups. You can prepare it easily at home.

Sprouts Bhel Puri Recipe Ingredients

Murmura or puffed rice– used fresh, crispy puffed rice which adds the crisp to the bhel. If puffed rice is soft, first roast them for 2-3 minutes on low flame. Let them cool completely and then use them.

Papdi– another main ingredient used in the making of street-style bhel. Here, we used homemade baked atta and suji papdi for the recipe. It is low in fat and a healthier option to enjoy bhel with papdi.

Sprouts– moong sprouts are added to increase the nutritional value and make it a protein-rich snack. You can also use roasted chana or mixed sprouts instead of moong sprouts. Always wash your sprouts properly before consuming or you can lightly steam them to increase their digestibility. How to make sprouts at home click here.

Green chutney– coriander-mint chutney is used to give a spicy touch to the bhel. You can skip it if don’t want it spicy or like a dry bhel. The recipe for spicy green chutney you can find on my blog and youtube channel.

Tamarind chutney– sugar-free date tamarind chutney is used to add a spicy and sour flavour. Check date tamarind recipe here.

All-purpose salt mixture– You don’t need to add salt, back pepper, chaat masala, or cumin seeds powder separately. I have shared the recipe for all-purpose salt masala which includes everything in one place.

Corn flakes– Instead of adding fried sev, added corn flakes to add crunchiness.

Roasted peanuts– add a nutty taste and protein content to the recipe and make it more health-friendly.

Tomato, onion– added chopped tomato and onion to enhance the flavour. You can also add boiled and chopped potatoes, cucumber, etc

Lemon juice– adds tanginess and helps in mixing all ingredients.

Green chillies– add to increase the spiciness otherwise skip.
