Giloy Ka Kadha | How To Make Immunity Booster Giloy Tea

Herbal Giloy tea is a healthy concoction or according to Ayurveda Kadha recipe made with the simmering of giloy stem, tulsi, ginger, cinnamon and fennel seeds in water. Giloy tea is an immunity booster drink that helps you in fighting cold, cough and fever symptoms during weather changes.
First, wash the giloy stick and make pieces of it. Now, slightly crush them with the help of a mortar pestle and put them aside.
Boil water in a saucepan, add crushed giloy pieces, tulsi leaves, grated ginger, cinnamon stick and fennels seeds.
Let it boil on a low flame for 4-5 minutes till it reduces to 2/3 of its original amount.
Switch off the flame, cover it and leave for 2-3 minutes.
strain and pour in the serving glasses, add honey and mix.
serve warm.

1. Add ingredients in the water and put it on simmer till done. Do not boil it on high flame. Low flame helps in a proper infusion of the herbs with water.2. You can use fresh or dried giloy stem. They work equally well.3. Do not add honey while boiling all the ingredients in the water. It should be added at the time of serving only.4. Drink one small cup of giloy tea in the morning or evening or as prescribed by a health practitioner.
