Mini Bread Pakora: A Delicious & Healthy Snack (Monsoon Special) | It is a tasty and healthy snack option to satisfy your hunger pangs during monsoon time. These mini bread pakoras are high in protein and energy, perfect snack or a meal for growing kids.
In a bowl mix besan, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, roasted cumin seeds powder, and curd. Mix well once then add water little by little and make a smooth batter.
Batter is of neither too thick nor too thin, it should be medium thin consistency. Keep aside.
Now take 2 bread slices, on one slice apply green chutney, and spread it evenly. On another slice apply tomato ketchup and spread evenly.
Now cover one piece with another and cut it into four set of pieces diagonally.
Place a ½ inch thick triangle shaped paneer piece inside of each pair and press together so that the corners stick together, keep it aside.(check video for directions)
Ready all the pair in the same manner and keep them aside.
Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan on a medium high heat.
Take one pair of bread and gently dip into the besan mixture and then slide into the hot oil.
Let it fry for few seconds and then flip to other side. Cook the other side for few seconds too and then take it out to a plate.
Fry rest of the pairs in the same manner.
Now all pieces are fried once, let the oil heat again for few seconds on medium high and then again slide 2-3 pieces into the oil and fry them till they become crisp from both sides.
Strain extra oil and remove them to a plate, Serve warm with green chutney or tomato ketchup.

Notes
1. The batter for making pakoras should be of medium consistency not too thick or thin. A thick batter will make its texture too soft. On the other hand, the thin batter will not coat properly and absorbs a lot of oil.2. Use whole wheat or multigrain bread for a healthier option.3. The oil should be hot when you slide pakoras in it. If it is not enough hot, pakoras will absorb a lot of oil and do not become crispy in texture.4. Chutney provides a unique taste to these pakoras and doesn't require the addition of any spices for stuffing.
