7 Cup Burfi With Milk Powder / Seven Cup Fudge Recipe
Babita Singh
7 cup burfi with milk powder is an easy Indian sweet made with besan, coconut, fresh malai, milk, milk powder, and sugar. It is a famous south Indian sweet that is usually made during the festival season.
In a big pan, first, add besan and ghee. Roast besan in ghee on a low flame for about 4-5 minutes till its raw smell is gone.
After that, add coconut powder, sugar, milk and malai. Mix well and cook it on medium flame till it becomes a little thick. It will take around 15-20 minutes.
Then add milk powder and mix. Cook it till it starts leaving the pan. At this point, add cardamom powder and mix.
Cook further till the mixture becomes thick and leaves the side. Switch off the flame.
Line a tray with parchment paper. Sprinkle chopped nuts over it. Then transfer the mixture to it and spread it evenly with equal thickness.
Let it set for 4-5 hours. Cut into desire shape and store it in an airtight container.

Notes
1. Roast besan with ghee on a low flame till its raw smell is gone. Its colour should not change.2. After adding all the ingredients, cook the mixture on medium flame with stirring continuously.3. My version of 7 cup burfi is on the softer side. To make it a little hard, cook it further for 4-5 more minutes and then set.4. You can also add chopped nuts into the mixture to get a crunchy texture.
