Apple oats Crumble/Apple crisp- A delicious baked dessert made from quick oats, apples, jowar flour and flavoured with cinnamon and lemon juice. It is a healthy apple crisp made with minimal ingredients and sweetened with jaggery powder.
Preheat oven at 160 degrees Celsius for about 10-12 minutes.
First peel the apples and cut into thin slices, squeeze lemon juice and put it aside.
Now take a oven safe glass bowl, grease it base and sides with 1 tbsp soft butter.
Then sprinkle half of the brown sugar. Arrange sliced apples and sprinkle cinnamon powder. Cover with rest of the brown sugar and put it aside.
Now in another bowl, take oats, jowar flour, jaggery powder, baking powder, salt. Add soft unsalted butter and gently mix it till it well combine with oats mixture.
After that spread this crumble mixture over the apple layer and put it in the oven.
Bake it for 15-20 minutes or until the crumble become golden in colour. Take it put. Slightly cool it and then serve warm with ice cream or custard.

1. Choice fresh, soft and sweet apple for the crisp. If we use green apple then need to add more sugar or jaggery in it for a perfect taste.2. Apple slices should not be very thin or thick.3. Use coconut oil for a Vegan version.4. Bake the apple crisp till the crumble become golden in colour. Slightly cool after taking it out from the oven and then serve.
