Making your own fresh homemade pumpkin puree is an easy, quick and economical. Also, it is free from preservatives and any artificial colours or flavours.The process of making pumpkin puree at home is very simple and easy.
Wash and peel of the pumpkin. Cut into equal size thin slices.
In a steamer add water and bring it to boil.
Once the water starts boiling put a plate over it and place pumpkin pieces.
Steam them for 10-12 minutes on meium high heat. Switch off the flame anmd let it cool completely
Now transfer pumpkin pieces into a blender and grind into a smooth paste.
Store in an air tight container and put it in the refrigerator. They stay goos for 3-4 days in the refrigerator and upto a month in the freezer.
