Healthy Mini Garlic Bread Roll From Scratch |A twist to the simple bread , these savoury garlic bread rolls are simply delicious. Made with only 100% whole wheat flour, these soft and healthy dinner rolls are a real crowd-pleaser.
In a bowl add 50 gm flour, 60 ml water and ¼ tsp yeast, mix nicely. Make a sticky dough, cover with cling film and leave aside for at least 1 hour.
Proofing yeast
Mix ¾ tsp yeast, 1tsp sugar and 60 ml lukewarm water in bowl. Leave it aside for 5-7 minutes.
Making of filling
In a pan add 2 tbsp unsalted butter, add chopped garlic and ½ tsp salt. Cook it for 1-2 minutes. Switch off the flame and let it cool.
Making of dough
In a bowl add 250 gm whole wheat flour, salt, preferment mixture, yeast mixture and mix. Add little water at a time and make sticky dough.
Now take off the dough on a clean kitchen counter, sprinkle some dry flour and start kneading.
Knead if for 2-3 minutes and then add 2 tbsp soft butter and further knead for 4-5 minutes until it becomes soft and smooth.
Sprinkle some dry flour if needed in between.
Grease the bowl with little oil. Place the dough. Cover it and leave aside till it becomes double in size. This depend upon weather conditions.
Once the dough becomes double in size , punch it down . Knead for few seconds, Divide the dough into 2 pieces. Take a piece and roll it into a rectangle.
Cut it into 6 equal pieces. Take a piece add 1-2 tbsp filling and fold it length wise to give a shape of roll. Do same with the reast of the pieces.
Meanwhile preheat oven at 180 degrees celsius with both the rods and fan on.
Sprinkle little dry flour on a baking tray and place them on it.
Bake them in a preheated oven for 20-22 minutes or till they become golden in colour.
Once done, take out from the oven. Apply little butter on the top and serve warm with homemade tomato ketchup.

Notes
I will recommend activating your yeast before adding to the dry mixture.
Give a warm environment to rise the dough.
Preheat oven at least 10-15 minutes before the baking of rolls.
Serve them warm for best taste. If they become cold due to any reason microwave them for seconds before serving.
You can also add some veggies if you like, chop them into fine before adding to the stuffing.
