Instructions
Step 1: Soak the ingredients
- First add 10 g makhana, 4 almonds, 1 dried fig and 4 small dates (or 2 big dates) to a bowl. Pour in 1/4 cup toned milk and soak for one hour.

Notes
- Choose fresh lauki with taste mild, not bitter. Never use bitter-tasting bottle gourd; discard it, as bitterness can indicate potentially dangerous cucurbitacins. So, always taste your lauki first before making any dish.
- Cool everything before blending. Avoid adding hot ingredients to a sealed blender.
- Adjust the consistency according to your choice. Add a little more milk or water if you prefer a thinner drink. If you add more milk calories will also increase.
- Don't add extra sugar without tasting it as the dates and fig may provide enough sweetness.
- Prefer to serve fresh for a great taste and nutrition. Refrigerate promptly if you are not drinking it immediately.
