Milk– it is a milk-based smoothie so low-fat toned milk is used. To make it vegan can add coconut water or dairy-free milk like coconut milk or almond milk.

Makhana– is the star ingredient of our recipe, gives a nice creamy and thick texture to the smoothie.

Apple– use fresh well ripe sweet & juicy apples for the best taste. I am using here Indian apple. Avoid green apples with tart and sour taste like Granny Smith.It also adds fibre and sweetness to this drink. 

Dates– a healthy sweetener alternative to regular white sugar.

Peanut butter– Enhances the flavour and nutrition of the smoothie.

Cinnamon powder– cinnamon goes very well with apples and the addition of it improves flavour and taste. You can choose other flavours of your choice like cardamom powder, nutmeg, chocolate etc.

1.In a bowl soak 2 tsp chia seeds in ¼ cup of water for 1-2 hours.

2. Dry roast the makhanas for 5-8 minutes on low flame and let them cool completely.

3. Wash. Peel, and chop apple into small equal size slices. Keep them aside.

4. Now in a blender add milk, chopped apple, roasted makhana, dates, cinnamon powder, and peanut butter. Churn it into a smooth thick mixture.

5. Pour it into a serving glass. Garnish with soaked chia seeds and serve immediately. Enjoy this healthy and filling smoothie.
