Making granola at home is very easy and a quick process. Mix all the ingredients in a big mixing bowl and then bake them in a preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. Cool it completely before storing. We can make big batches of granola and store them in an airtight container. They stay good for 2 to 3 weeks.
Add savoury granola to soups and salad. Top smoothie with granola to make it more healthy and delicious.
Ingredients used for making savoury granola
- Rolled oats
- Pumpkin seeds
- Raw peanuts
- White sesame seeds
- Fennel seeds
- Honey
- Coconut oil
- Salt
- Black pepper powder
Step by step preparation of savoury granola
1. Preheat oven at 125 degrees Celsius for 12-15 minutes.
2. In a mixing bowl add rolled oats, raw peanuts, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, fennel seeds, salt, black pepper powder, honey, and coconut oil. Mix well.
3. Transfer to a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Spread evenly.
4. Bake it in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes. After half of the time, stir it nicely and continue to bake further 10-15 minutes.
5. Take it out from the oven. Granola will be soft at this stage.
6. It becomes crunchier once it cools down completely. Then store it in an airtight container.
Serving suggestions
Enjoy savoury granola as a healthy snack or pair with curd or milk and serve at breakfast. Add granola to soups and salad or top on smoothies to make them more healthy and delicious.
